La Sierrezuela rises above the rest of the surrounding urbanisations in the Fuengirola valley. With more than 500 units built since the area was converted to an urbanisation in the 70\'s, it remains a peaceful place where the majority of the houses are individual villas with spacious gardens.  
 
 
  General information  
  Sierrezuela occupies one of the higher hills in the Fuengirola valley. On the west and east it is bordered by streams, which in winter fill with water. The original plot was subdivided during the 70\'s, and since then the construction has been primarily of individual villas, even though some of the bigger plots have been converted into smaller units such as townhouses or apartments with their respective subcommunities Las Mercedes, Sierrezuela Hill Club, Los Reyes and Sierrezuela Park.
